Inspired by the lives of transgender people in America, Doll Parts depicts the journeys taken by those who have been lied to in the mirror. These untold stories of remarkable humans serves as a diary of extensive journeys taken by those who feel alienated in their own skin. This documentary enlightens individuals of transgender people and breaks the molds of the society-built gender roll expectations, while squashing the stereotypes tied to the community. 

 

Following ordinary transgender people in America, viewers see what extraordinary things they can do; not because they are 'different', but because they are people- a lot of which inspired to make a difference in the world, while just being true to themselves. Doctors, therapists, parents, children and activists of different colors and backgrounds join forces to tell the tales of the misunderstood minority.
